Recall Target air misters 435x406 Target Recalls Around 168,000 Air Misters; Second Major Recall For U.S. Retail Giant This WeekAfter three reports of the bottles shattering, one of which resulted in serious lacerations, Target, in cooperation with the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), is announcing their second recall this week, this time on around 168,000 Air Misters.

The recalled Air Misters are hand-held bottles designed to spray mist as a personal cooling mechanism. Each clear plastic bottle stands at roughly 8 inches tall, holds 2 ounces of water at the “Fill” line and has a colored top and bottom. Attached to the top of the bottle is a nylon carrying strap with instructions written in white lettering along the outside of the clear plastic base.

Air Misters were sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide for approximately $2.50 from February 2012 to May 2012. The misters were manufactured in China.
