Recall snowmobile ski doo1 Ski Doo Snowmobiles Recalled Due To Fuel LeakageThe Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Bombardier Recreational Products, a popular Canadian company better known as BRP, has recently announced a recall of more than 10,000 of their 2013 Ski-Doo snowmobiles.

The recall is due to the fuel inlet fitting which can come into contact with the oil tank and break, leading to fuel leakage, which poses a fire hazard. Thus far, there have been three reports of fires caused by this leakage.

The recalled snowmobile has the model name printed along the side panel of the vehicle. The 2013 models included in this recall are as follows:

Manufactured in Canada, Ski-Doo dealers sold these snowmobiles for about $8,000 to $12,000 from March 2012 through January 2013.

If you own one of the recalled snowmobiles mentioned, BRP and CPSC urge you to immediately stop using the recalled vehicle and contact a BRP dealer to schedule a free repair. BRP has begun notifying registered consumers directly about this recall.
