Recall Fresh Frozen Foods 2 119x210 Inventure Foods recall prompted by discovery of Listeria monocytogenesAn Inventure Foods recall encompasses products from its Fresh Frozen™ line of frozen vegetables and Jamba® “At Home” line of smoothie kits following the discovery of Listeria monocytogenes in its Jefferson, Ga., facility. The ingestion of Listeria monocytogenes by young children, elderly adults, pregnant women or those with a weakened immune system has the potential to cause a life-threatening infection known as listeriosis.

While there have been no recorded illnesses occurring as a result of Listeria monocytogenes, Inventure Foods has opted to voluntarily recall its lines of frozen vegetables and smoothie kits to best protect consumers. The Jefferson facility is currently under investigation to determine the cause of dangerous bacteria.

As for the Jamba “At Home” Smoothie Kits, products with code dates from 72644AH01 through 71075AH01 and best by dates from 18 Mar 2016 through 17 Oct 2016 are included in this recall. Codes beginning with the number 7 mean that they were produced at Inventure Foods’ Jefferson plant. The full list of smoothie products included in the Inventure Foods recall are here.
