Recall power generator Patriot 210x210 Patriot Power Generator recall announced after 13 reports of fires; 2,200 units recalledAccording to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), more than 2,000 Patriot Power Generators are now under recall by Lekker LLC. The generators were sold exclusively online at The recalled generators feature a battery that may catch fire unexpectedly, thus posing a fire hazard to the consumer and bystanders.

The power generator recall includes all 1,500 watt black or dark blue generators with “Patriot Power Generator” printed along the generator’s right side. Each of the recalled generators feature serial numbers U14040001 through U14041092 and U14110001 through U14111092, which can be found on a sticker in the upper right-hand corner of the generator’s back side. The recalled generators measure nearly 18 inches long by 10 inches wide by 12 inches tall.

Before the power generator recall was announced, CPSC and Lekker received 13 reports of the generators catching fire, as well as two reports that the generators began to smoke. Another report indicated unusual noise/odor from the recalled generator. No injuries or deaths have been linked to the generators.

From November 2014 through April 2015, the recalled power generators were sold exclusively at for about $2,000. The generators were also manufactured in China.

Consumers in possession of one or more the recalled generators should immediately stop using the product until they have contacted 4Patriots regarding instructions to receive a free replacement unit.
