Synergy Rx Pharmacy expands recall to include weight loss treatments, acne creams, chemical peels

acne 435x296 Synergy Rx Pharmacy expands recall to include weight loss treatments, acne creams, chemical peels has expanded a recall issued earlier this month on all lots of injectable (HCG), to include the following non-sterile products – Sublingual Tablets, HCG and HCG with resveratrol Human Chorionic Gonadoptropin), Non Sterile Dermatology creams all strengths (retinoic acid creams, hydroquinine creams, bleaching creams), Numbing Creams, acne creams, hair growth serums with minoxidil, betamethasone creams and Chemical Peels (salicylic acid peels, trichoracetic acid peels, glycolic acid peels, Jessners Peels, custom peels solutions). The recall was initiated due to lack of quality assurance.

Administration of a drug product which does not meet the quality assurance could result in serious infections. To date, Synergy Rx Pharmacy has not received any reports of adverse events related to products affected by this recall.

Affected products are packaed in either 30 gram airless pumps, orange standard Rx vials, 15 ml and 30 mil amber bottles, or in large white plastic jars bearing a label that includes Synergy Rx Pharmacy’s name and expiration date. All lots of these products are affected. All products distributed between Aug. 18, 2016, and Dec. 22, 2016, are affected by this recall.

Synergy Rx Pharmacy is currently notifying its customers of this expanded recall and arranging for return of the products. Customers who have received these products and suffered any adverse events or side effects should consult with their doctors, and report health concerns to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program at www.FDA.gov/MedWatch/Report.htm.
