Nutra Labs Inc., is recalling its male sexual enhancement supplements Bull Capsules and Chao Jimengnan Tablets after an analysis conducted by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revealed the products contained hidden drugs that could cause some users to suffer heart-related health problems.
The recall affects Bull 1800 mg Capsules with the production date of 05.08/2016 and Chao Jimengnan 150 mg Tablets with Lot # 20151018. The analysis showed that Bull contained 0.026m of sildenafil per capsule and Chao Jimengnan contained 70.46 mg of sildenafil per tablet. Sildenafil is the active drug ingredient in the prescription erectile dysfunction drug Viagra.
These dietary supplements with undeclared sildenafil may pose a risk to consumers who take nitrates, found in some prescription drugs such as nitroglycerin, and result in a significant drop in blood pressure that may be life threatening. To date, Nutra Labs has not received any reports of adverse events related to these products.
Affected Bull supplements are packaged in tins with 30 pills. Chao Jimengnan packages contain 4 pills per box. The products can be identified by the word “Bull” with an image of a bull on a black tin or a square red box with “Chao Jimengnan Super Powrful Man Tablets” printed on the front. These dietary supplements were sold nationwide through the internet.
Retailers and customers with these products should stop using them immediately. Anyone who has taken these products and suffered an adverse health consequences should file a report with the FDA MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program at www.FDA.gov/MedWatch/Report.htm.
