Marmex Corp., is recalling all lots of Blue Pearl All Natural Male Enhancement Supplement after a Food and Drug Administration (FDA) analysis found the product to contain hidden amounts of sildenafil, a drug that could pose a risk to some consumers.
Sildenafil is the active pharmaceutical ingredient in the FDA-approved erectile dysfunction drug Viagra. The drug may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs, like nitroglycerin, and lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
People with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or heart disease often take nitrates and may be more likely to suffer ill effects after using this product. To date, Marmex Corp., has received no reports of adverse effects related to this recall.
Blue Pearl All Natural Male Enhancement Supplement capsules were sold as dietary supplements for male enhancement in retail stores nationwide and via the internet between July 2016 and November 2017. The product is packaged in 1 unit of blister packs with the UPC code 8470600985, and the expiration date of 7/1/2018.
Anyone who has Blue Pearl supplements in their possession should stop using them immediately and return it to the place of purchase. Consumers who have suffered adverse effects after using this product should contact their doctors.
