Independent Nutrition Inc., doing business as Back to Health, is recalling certain lots of its Ignite High Endurance Pre-Workout dietary supplements because they may contain undeclared milk. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk who consume this product are at risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction. To date, Independent Nutrition has received no reports of illness related to this recall issue.
Affected lots of Ignite High Endurance Pre-Workout Supplement products were sold at health food stores in California, Oregon, New Jersey and Texas between March 1, 2015, and March 31, 2018. The products were sold in 1-pound bags under the brand name Back to Health and include the following:

- Ignite High Endurance Pre-Workout Supplement Vanilla (Back to Health)
- Ignite High Endurance Pre-Workout Supplement with Caffeine (Back to Health)
In a review of the products label contents, it was discovered that the products contain whey protein powder, which contains lactose, which can trigger a milk allergy or sensitivity. Any one with possession of these supplements should return them to the place of purchase. Any adverse events related to use of these supplements should file a report with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting Program at www.FDA.gov/MedWatch/Report.htm.
