baby in tub CPSC Baby wash recalled due to infection riskBottles of Splish Splash Gentle Baby Wash made by Saje Natural Wellness are being recalled because they may be contaminated with the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which poses an infection risk to consumers, particularly those with compromised immune systems.

The recall affects 8.5 fluid ounce bottles of Saje Natural Wellness Splish Splash Gentle Baby Wash sold individually with the product SKU 700552, and the Lot Number 814020; and 1.7 fluid ounce bottles of Saje Natural Wellness Splish Splash Gentle Baby Wash sold in Wee and Well Gentle Baby Care Kits with the product SKU 700561 and the Lot Number 814020.

The product was distributed in the United States through Saje retail stores in California, New Jersey and New York. It was also sold online to customers across the U.S. and internationally.

The recall was initiated after routine sample testing revealed that one lot of Splish Splash Gentle Baby Wash in an 8.5 fluid ounce container was contaminated with the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa. No adverse events related to this recall have been reported in the United States, to date.

Consumers with baby wash affected by this recall should return it to a Saje retail outlet for a full refund, or call the company at 877-275-7253 to return the product through prepaid mail, and to receive a full refund.
