More than 3,200 electric-powered skateboards are under recall by Boosted Inc. and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The recalled electric skateboards are powered by lithium ion battery packs that may overheat and smoke, putting unsuspecting consumers at risk of igniting a fire. According to the CPSC, the recalled 2nd Generation Boosted Dual+ electric skateboards with lithium ion battery packs are wooden with the “Boosted” brand name printed on the top and bottom. Denon battery pack recall announced due to burn and fire hazards

Denon, in cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), has announced a recall of more than 3,400 rechargeable battery packs that may overheat during use. According to the CPSC, the recalled battery packs pose both burn and fire hazards due to their overheating problem. The rechargeable battery recall comprises Denon’s HEOS 1 Go Pack lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs for wireless speakers., but only those with a 10-character alpha-numeric serial number starting with 5 or 501g91 and ending with 3517 through 4004. HP laptop battery pack recall announced following reports of overheating, property damage

According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), more than 40,000 HP lithium-ion batteries are now under recall after reports that the battery packs may overheat and put consumers at risk of fire and burn hazards. The laptop battery recall comprises of the Panasonic cells used in certain HP Notebook computers. The recalled batteries were compatible with the following notebook computers: HP, Compaq, HP ProBook, HP ENVY, Compaq Presario, and HP Pavilion. Toshiba laptop battery recall announced; more than 100K affected in North America

Toshiba, the multinational conglomerate company known for its wide range of electronics, has announced a laptop battery recall encompassing more than 100,000 Panasonic battery packs.  The defective batteries are responsible for several overheating incidents, posing both a burn and fire hazard to unsuspecting consumers. The recalled Panasonic lithium-ion battery packs were installed in 39 models of Toshiba Tecra, Portege and Satellite laptops; however, they could also be purchased separately or installed by Toshiba during a repair.
