A Canadian high school hockey player who suffered a traumatic brain injury (TBI) in a deadly bus crash last year has been released from the hospital after a 333-day stay. Morgan Gobeil was one of 13 members of the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team who were injured April 6, 2018, when their bus rammed a tractor-trailer that had run a stop sign. Walt Disney World was not the happiest place in the world for 15 guests of the amusement park after they were taken to the hospital after a bus crashed into the back of another bus in the Epcot Center’s auto plaza, according to the Reedy Creek Fire Department. A total of 51 people was in the buses at the time of the accident Tuesday morning. FMCSA Removes Major Hurdles For Diabetic Commercial Drivers

U.S. trucking regulators have rolled back a rule that barred individuals with insulin-treated diabetes from driving commercial vehicles. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) said that commercial drivers with properly treated diabetes mellitus can now seek a clearance to drive from a certified medical examiner. Previously, drivers with insulin-treated diabetes were prohibited from driving commercial motor vehicles unless they received a special exemption from the FMCSA, which can take up to six months to obtain. More than two dozen people were injured after a casino shuttle bus carrying 32 people crashed in the early morning hours into a barrier along Highway 10 in Los Angeles and tipped over, skidding to a stop. Two sanitation workers were injured after the brakes of the garbage truck they were driving gave out, causing the loaded trash truck to collide with a tractor-trailer south of Wellersburg, Pennsylvania. A former Tennessee state representative is suing an Illinois trucking firm and others for injuries he suffered when a tractor-trailer crashed into his vehicle on I-81 in Kingsport, Tennessee last month.
