Ford Motor is recalling nearly 1.5 million Ford Focus cars in North America to repair a defective valve that could affect the fuel tank and cause the vehicle to stall. The safety recall covers 2012 through 2018 Ford Focus model cars with 2-liter GDI and 2-liter GTDI engines. About 1.3 million Ford Focus cars in the U.S. and its territories are affected by the recall, in addition to 136,000 cars in Canada and 45,000 in Mexico.
