Do not eat chocolate or caramel Modjeskas made by Bauer’s Candies purchased from various retail locations, QVC or BauersCandy.com after Nov. 14, 2018, because they may be contaminated with hepatitis A, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) cautioned in a Public Health Alert. The alert was issued after a worker at the facility tested positive for the contagious liver disease. Modjeskas are individually wrapped marshmallow candies dipped in chocolate or caramel.
