PetSmart announces aquarium heater recall

Popular pet supplies retailer PetSmart has announced a recall of more than 112,000 Top Fin Plastic Aquarium Heaters. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the aquarium heaters suffer from an electrical issue which may result in a fire or electrical shock. A previous aquarium heater recall initiated by PetSmart in August 2014 recalled about 33,000 older units for the same issue. PetSmart recalls glass fish bowls after consumers report lacerations requiring stitches, surgery

PetSmart, the American pet supplies and services chain, has announced a recall of more than 10,000 glass fish bowls. According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the fish bowls have a tendency to shatter or break during day-to-day handling, posing a laceration hazard to its unaware consumers. Shaped like a brandy snifter, the 1.75 gallon glass fish bowls were sold under the Great Choice or Top Fin brand names.
