At least 15 people were killed when a tour bus taking Royal Caribbean Cruise ship passengers on a tour of Mayan ruins crashed Tuesday morning in Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula. Authorities in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo told ABC News that five Americans were among those killed in the bus crash. Eleven of the victims were passengers on the Celebrity Equinox and Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas ships. One victim was a Mexican tour guide and one of the victims was reportedly a child. Four lawsuits have been filed as of March 14 in connection to the collision of a tour bus and freight train in Biloxi, Mississippi, the Austin Statesman reports. A preliminary investigation of the crash faults the driver of a tractor-trailer hauling a load of stone. Twenty bus passengers returning home from a women’s mountain retreat were injured Sunday afternoon when their shuttle bus overturned Sunday on a highway in Southern California’s San Bernardino Mountains. The bus was one of several small tour buses shuttling about 200 women down State Route 330 from a yearly mountain retreat to their church in Downey, Calif., just south of Los Angeles.
