The trucking company whose tractor-trailer collided with a Greyhound bus in New Mexico last week has a history of crashes and safety violations, a pair of lawsuits filed by survivors of the deadly crash contend. Greyhound-Tractor Trailer Crash Kills Seven on New Mexico Highway

At least seven people are dead and several others injured after a tractor-trailer plowed into a Greyhound bus head-on on I-40 in western New Mexico Thursday morning. The deadly collision occurred in the westbound lanes of I-40 near the town of Thoreau, New Mexico, about 100 miles west of Albuquerque and near the Arizona border. A federal jury in West Virginia ordered two trucking companies to pay a commercial truck driver more than $5.4 million after his foot was severely crushed on the job and he was forced to undergo a partial leg amputation. New Jersey State Police are investigating a side-underride crash that claimed the life of a 24-year-old woman Wednesday, July 11, when the car she was riding in crashed into a tractor-trailer.
