Port Authority police are investigating a deadly crash involving a tractor-trailer that struck a passenger vehicle on the Cross Bronx Expressway early in the morning of March 27, and kept going. Caesar Contreras, 25, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Two women in the car with him, ages 28 and 29, were taken to Harlem Hospital in critical condition. Both are expected to survive their crash injuries.
