A United Airlines flight from Los Angeles to Sydney, Australia, was forced to make an emergency landing at Sydney Airport on Thursday after the pilot issued a “fuel mayday.” United Flight 839 was arriving in Sydney with “a mechanical issue” when the pilot issued the mayday call, giving the airplane landing priority over other approaching aircraft. Passengers aboard a United Airlines flight from Vancouver, Canada to Chicago got the fright of a lifetime when the airplane’s pilots performed some emergency maneuvers to avoid colliding mid-air with a smaller aircraft. Flight attendants file whistleblower complaint against United Airlines

Thirteen senior United Airlines flight attendants filed a whistleblower complaint Monday with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), alleging they were fired for refusing to staff a Hong Kong-bound plane in San Francisco over security fears.
